May 19th @ Spectators - Singles
Beth very nearly pulled it off again in beating Glaser, but he came back in OT to take the game down. He kept it up until the finals against Jeremy. Jeremy had an out-of-character good finals game, but it still wasn't enough to take down David.
May 19th @ Spectators - Doubles
It was the last 2v2 tourny before BoW, so all the 2k teams were trying to pull off that one last win before the weekend in Pheonix. In the end Gabe and Glaser faced PeeWee and Lucas, and They Google Me pulled off the win.
May 17th @ Coaches - Doubles
So this was an interesting night of BoW practice. With Gabe and Glaser out of the field, it seemed like it would be another Dust teaming that would take it, but the night was getting rough. Jeremy and Beth made it far, but just couldn't defeat the new teaming of Schwasty members Ryan and Tess. Edan and Sonny made it to the finals against NMDrunk teammates Huff and Gillooly, in what had to be the worst finals in SWBP history.
May 12th @ Spectators - Singles
The 8 members of Duke City Dust who stuck around for the singles tournament ended up taking the top 8 spots, so it seems like the lineup was properly picked. In one surprising matchup, Beth knocked David out of the tournament. In the end Gabe and Corey faced off, but it wasn't much of a match. Corey lost his shot somewhere along the way, paving the way for yet another double-dip by Gabe.
May 12th @ Spectators - Doubles
Another Thursday and another Duke City Dust switchup. This wasn't as successful a night for the squad, as both Sink'em or Drink'em and Cup Check ended up breaking the top 4. In the end We Hurt Feelings (Corey and David) faced Bring Your Best (Gabe and Manny), and the latter two continued their successful May run.
May 10th @ Coaches - Singles
Coaches singles tournaments always bring out a crowd, and it was no exception this Tuesday. 43 players showed up to make a run at the money. John Dubois made a triumphant return to the pong scene, taking 5th alongside Manny. In the end Lucas and Gabe faced off, and Gabe pulled his second double-dip of the week.
May 5th @ Spectators - Singles
Brent and Jack both made one of their sometimes appearances and went pretty deep into the singles, both tying for 5th place. PeeWee was out to take his second singles title, and made it undefeated to the finals where he faced Gabe. Though they were close games, Gabe ended up pulling off the double dip.
May 5th @ Spectators - Doubles
Duke City Dust continued their BoW training by switching up their regular teams, and all four teams ended up in the top 4. Edan and Jeremy ended up in the finals against David and Manny, when Jeremy pulled another ChokesInFinals appearance. Edan shot a perfect game and lost, how bad is that?
May 3rd @ Coaches - Singles
The month of May might turn out to be Manny's breakout tour. The often overlooked player proved himself capable after running undefeated to the finals. His opponent, Clawless, had been shooting hot most of the night, and tried his hand at running his mouth through the entire finals. Though he pulled off the first win, he couldn't put a final stop to Manny's run.
May 3rd @ Coaches - Doubles
With Best of the West in sight, team Duke City Dust is in full training mode. The four Dust pairings were the top 4 teams of the night, with Straight Outta Pongton, Drop the Asian, No Chance, and Cheech and Pong all shooting very well. In the end No Chance faced their rivals in Cheech and Pong, and the latter took the win.
