What an interesting tournament. A lot of the regs couldn’t make it, but luckily a crowd of new faces showed to take their places. Teams traveled from as far as Phoenix, Arizona to compete in the event, and Clovis finally made another appearance. Our eastern neighbors made a strong showing, with teams Come Honor and The Andy N Andy Show both making the semis.

The first team to really stand out, at least in my opinion, was Team Donkey Punch. Biggle My Jalls’ reg Travis Snow found himself without a partner and so recruited the white bearded John Sommerfeld off the sidelines. The self-proclaimed dart expert, pong newbie was a natural at the game. The two unlikely teammates made it just shy of the quarterfinals before finally bowing out.

In fact, it was Sommerfeld who made the final shot sending SWBP’s Pwn Stars packing. Some were able to catch a glimpse of a very angry Clawless making his way outside as quickly as possible after that particular defeat. Such a rare sight (the anger…not the loss).

Back in the winners bracket, the previously unknown ABQ pair Team DnA was kicking ass. Clovis team Come Honor apparently showed up prepared this time, taking their game all the way to the winners finals, facing another new face in team 10 Inches Soft.

The only team noticeably absent from the winners list was Arizona team Nate’s Shirts Don’t Fit. They traveled all the way from Phoenix, but unfortunately ran into the wall that was Come Honor in their third game of the night. Clovis proved to be Arizona’s kryptonite, as team Andy N Andy was the one to send Shirts to the side games.

In the end it was ABQ’s 10 Inches Soft facing Clovis’ Come Honor in what was probably the worst final match in beer pong history. I don’t even want to talk about the game, as it was torture enough just to watch a second time when uploading the video. Instead, I’ll list everything else that happened during the course of the game (all of which were infinitely more interesting than the game itself):
