The Southwest will be rolling deep at this year's World Series of Beer Pong in Las Vegas, and Albuquerque is making a major contribution with 6 teams competing! We've done a lot of talking, and now it's time for the following 12 players to show the world what we're all about in the 505.
No Chance
Gabriel Montoya and Jeremy "Clawless" P.
Since teaming up, Jeremy and Gabe have been laying waste to the local competition. They've won 5 WSOBP VI bids between the two of them, and no counting how much cash. They are the top ranked team in ABQ, and prove it every time they play together. In the last 10 tournaments they've played, they've made the finals 9 times, and won 8. Their goal is to put ABQ on the pong map this year, and have a very good chance of doing so.
10 Inches Soft
David Glaser and Sonny Amparan
The always-2nd-place young guns have recently shown themselves capable of taking down a tournament, not to mention how to win pressure matchups. In the last ABQ satellite they took game after game into double-OT, against tough out-of-towners. This looks like it could be the year they finally break out as one of the top teams throughout the Southwest.

A Lotta Handsome
Eric Searle and John Dubois
The longest running team in SWBP, they have played more tournaments together, and had more breakups and reunions, than any other team to date. They were part of ABQ’s first experience at the WSOBP, back at number IV. Though John has always been hailed as the team’s carrier, Eric has upped his game to a point where he can be relied on. Don’t try challenging either one to a house-rules game, unless you really want to lose money.

Burque Bombers
David Kozlowski and Andy Thomlinson
Albuquerque’s most famous team, as Andy’s loud antics make him instantly recognized in any beer pong venue throughout the Southwest. Though their out-of-state experience has been lacking, they plan to change that come January.

Mighty Morphin Power Pongers
Beth G. and Chris Gillooly
Both players have been around since almost the beginning of SWBP. Chris has the title of most-improved-player in SWBP, while Beth holds the title of prettiest girl in pong. She’s also the best female player in the Southwest, hands down. Don’t believe me? She bested SonomaJoe at Best of the West (yah they each had teammates…but come on), and went undefeated during the prelims at ABQ’s second satellite tournament this year. If they get their chemistry down, these two could go far in Vegas.

Re-United
Kyle Sweetland and "PeeWee" Lyle
One is the former best player in and cofounder of SWBP, the other is the up and comer and newest bid winner in the Southwest. Together there's no telling how far they can go. Kyle has had to prove himself so many times that at this point I'm sure he doesn't even know what the word "pressure" means anymore, while PeeWee proved himself many times over at the last satty that he can hit the pressure shots (especially in rebuttal). Either way this team performs, there's no doubt they will be the friendliest people you meet in Vegas this year.
